Independent Research Directives and Assessment Criteria:
NOTE: This activity is paired with your authentic voice guest.

1. Research your topic. Find article(s) on the Education Index Wilson database (http://www.bemidjistate.edu/library/ in the popular press, AND on the internet. Be selective when you use the internet for research! Use at least FIVE references and two of them MUST be hard copy (refereed journals-the Wilson Index has “hard copy” journals and papers)!! 25 points

2. Synthesize your conclusions focusing on SPECIFIC DATA which will be useful to know in a classroom setting. 200-400 words. Give us PRACTICAL strategies. 25 points

3. YOUR WIKI page has been created. Post your summary, questions, references and lead a discussion. Respond to peers. READ AND ASK EACH RESEARCHER A QUESTION 25 points

4. Prepare your Wiki page for your invited guest . You will post an Introductory statement from them and add other data which might be appropriate. You must create a Wiki Account for your guest to provide access. You will need their email. They will be anonymous unless they choose not to be. Attend Authentic Voice Discussion and visit all the links and interact. 25 points
